Evaluate follow up patients after interventional procedures and/or medication management. Evaluate and perform physician examination on new patients. Able to come up with a treatment plan. Perform simple treatments such as trigger point injections.
Follow guidelines and oversee opioid contracts, urine tox screen implementation and follow up results of labs, MRIs. Communicate with patients and other physicians regarding results and treatment plans.
Handle paperwork and phone calls on Pre Authorizations for procedures and medications.
Write medical necessity or work letters for patients
Triage and answer patient phone calls and questions.
See hospital chronic pain patient consultations if needed (very very seldom if any)
On telephone calls after hours for the practice (average less than 5 calls per year)
Staff and patient educations.
Need to have NY license to practice as NP.
