Holy Spirit Hospital’s Emergency Department sees 50,000 patients a year and has 48 hours of daily physician coverage (24 hours of daily Double coverage) and 10 hours of daily NP/PA coverage. It is a full-service hospital providing high quality health services to communities in the greater Harrisburg area and South Central Pennsylvania. Holy Spirit is a not-for-profit facility founded in 1963 and sponsored by the Sisters of Christian Charity. The 332-bed hospital has one of Central PA’s newest Emergency Room facilities and includes six family health centers, a women’s health center, and a pediatric practice. Holy Spirit Hospital is quickly becoming a healthcare leader in the Central Pennsylvania region.
