Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Certified Physician Assistant to join a group of experienced providers and staff located in Mason City, Iowa.
The selected Physician Assistant will coordinate the care for adult vascular patients as related to pre- and post-operative procedures. This care includes evaluations, education, treatment and follow-up, using an organized multi-disciplinary team approach to provide continuity of care throughout the continuum. The provider will also participate in clinical effectiveness and community outreach activities.
The newly formed Vascular and Wound Center serves adult, adolescent and geriatric populations. The incumbent will also provide outreach services in network critical access hospitals. The physician assistant will comply with national standards of practice as well as State mandated scope of practice. He or she will work under the supervision of the Director of Mercy Vascular and Wound Center.
Requirements for this opportunity include completion of a CAHEA approved Physician Assistant training program, current licensure in the state of Iowa and certified in CPR and ACLS . A demonstrated competency as a Physician Assistant through previous experience is preferred as well as the knowledge of current vascular medical practice as it relates to vascular screening, treatment, and CV surgery and knowledge of adult educational planning, implementation and evaluation.
