Orthopaedic Group seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant to work directly with two Orthopaedic Surgeons. Surgical procedures performed include: total joints, shoulder and knees, fracture care and general cases. The new PA would eventually run an orthopaedic clinic. The PA will split their time in the OR and the clinic.
Responsibilities include: H&P’s, patient evaluation and education, refers for diagnostic treatment, first assist, review lab results, cortisone injections and aspirations, treat basic fractures, hospital rounds, casting and splinting within a clinic setting. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. There is some call to be arranged and will be paid. The practice prefers candidates with orthopaedic experience, but they will train a new PA that has an orthopaedic rotation and some prior healthcare work experience. They would prefer candidates that have ties to the upstate New York area. The location is within 45 minutes to the Binghamton area.
Compensation: Competitive compensation package. Additionally, there is a full benefits package (vacation, medical, dental, STD, LTD, pension etc). Also, relocation and or sign-on are available.
