Orthopaedic Specialty Group seek to add another full-time Physician Assistant to the team. The new PA will work directly with two Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeons. The case load includes a strong volume of total joint, shoulders, knees, spine and general orthopaedic cases. Also, the new PA can be part of this group’s development of their sports center. Previous orthopaedic experience is preferred, but they will train a new PA with a strong interest in orthopaedics! The position is a combination of the OR and the clinic. Recent graduates should have completed orthopaedic rotation(s).
· First assist
· Initial evaluations
· Joint aspiration and injections
· Pre-op and post-op H&P’s
· Reductions of fractures and dislocations
· Write scripts
· Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC’s
· Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
· Casting and splinting
· Possibility to run clinics
· Hospital rounds
The location is a smaller town that is approximately 50 minutes to Peoria, Illinois. There is an excellent compensation plan and there is a full benefits package. Also, there is the potential for relocation assistance.
