Specialty Orthopaedic Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The position included both the OR (first assist) and the clinic. The new PA will work directly with a Board-Certified and Spine Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. The position is almost all spine cases. Responsibilities include: patient evaluations and education, removing casts and pins, consultation, ordering and reviewing lab tests, writing scripts, rounds and first assist. The new PA will also run a parallel clinic to the Doctor. Call coverage is for the office and not trauma.
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified. The Doctor prefers candidates with some orthopaedic experience, but will train new graduates with an orthopaedic rotation and some prior health care experience (ATC, PT or Ortho Tech, RN, EMT, Medic etc.). The group prefers candidates that have a Florida license or have already applied!
The new PA will be employed by the Orthopaedic Group and will have a very strong benefits package. The position is located 35 minutes to Pensacola area of Florida. Compensation: Base salary range: depends on experience, plus a productivity based bonus plan and full benefits package.
