Job Description

Specialty Group of Orthopaedic Surgeons seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant.  This position will directly support’s a Sports fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. He has a well-established and high volume sports-oriented practice.  This position consists of both OR and the Clinic.  Cases include a strong volume of knee, shoulders, elbow and some fracture care.  Patient base includes all levels of athletes and weekend warriors.  He is the Team Doc for several local school and semi-pro. The new PA can provide sporting event coverage (if desired). Responsibilities include:  pre and post-operative H&P’s, joint injections, writing scripts, removing casts and pins, consultation and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting.  They are located in a state-of-the-art facility that has EMR, Digital X-Ray, and onsite PT/OT.  Minimal call required.


Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified, highly motivated, hard working, and work well in a team-oriented environment.  Candidates must be local or have ties to the area.  The group prefers an experienced Ortho PA but will train a new PA, with an Ortho rotation and also an ATC!
