General Orthopaedic Surgeon that is Fellowship trained seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant. The new PA will directly support this Doctor both in the OR and the clinic. Cases include total joints, ACL reconstruction, upper extremity, fracture care and general orthopaedic cases. The group has their own Physical Therapy, Digital X-Ray and MRI.
Responsibilities include: H&P’s, patient evaluation and education, refer for diagnostic treatment, first assist, review lab results, write scripts, injections and aspirations, treat basic fractures, casting and splinting within a clinic setting. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Previous orthopaedic experience is preferred, but will train a new graduate with an orthopaedic rotation! Candidates should have ties to the area. The location is a smaller town that is an hour or so to Tucson. Tucson population is about three quarters of a million and has universities, culture, great weather, mecca for outdoor living and reasonable cost of living.
Compensation: Open (depends on experience) plus excellent benefits package.
