Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add a full time Physician Assistant. The new PA will work directly with a Trauma Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position will include both the clinic and the OR. This Doctor has a very successful and growing practice that is a split between trauma and general cases. Cases include complex fractures including pelvis and acetabulum, non-unions and minimally invasive cases includes arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee. This Doctor handle a strong surgical case load and they utilize the latest minimally invasive techniques. Responsibilities include: first assist, H&P’s, write scripts, coordinate with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, event coverage and discharge summaries. They are located in a modern facility and have their own PT/OT onsite.
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified. Previous orthopaedic experience is desired, but the group will train a new graduate. The new graduates should be from the region, and at a minimum, completed an orthopaedic rotation. The location is within the Greater Hartford area. The area has solid school systems and is a terrific location to raise a family. Salary range is based on experience level and includes an incentive. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
