Orthopaedic Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to their team. The position is focused on treating patients with muscular skeletal problems with emphasis on sports related injuries. The new PA or NP will work directly with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. The position includes both the OR and the clinic. The new PA/NP will have the responsibility for treatment of simple fractures, complex shoulders, shoulder revisions and knee injuries. There is no call requirements.
The new PA/NP’s day to day responsibilities include: patient evaluations, first assist, injections, removing casts and pins, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting. Candidates must be Board-Certified. The group requires experienced Orthopaedic PA/NP’s but will consider a new PA/NP that has any of the following (ATC, PT/OT, Ortho Tech. and Exercise Physiology). Richmond is a city of 200,000 and has numerous universities, great shopping, trendy boutiques, restaurants, numerous sports and entertainment attractions, outdoor pursuits among one of the nation’s largest river park systems and a treasure trove of historic landmarks. The location has reasonable cost of living.
Compensation: Base salary range is open (depends on experience). Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided which includes a 401k profit sharing plan.
