Orthopaedic Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The position includes both the clinic and the OR. This practice sees a solid volume of general, sports, total joints and some trauma cases. They have their own state-of-the-art facility that includes on-site PT, Digital X-ray, EMR and Orthopaedic Urgent Care.
- First assist
- OR/clinic – patient evaluations
- Casting and splinting
- Reduction of fractures and dislocations
- Joint aspiration and injections
- Run a parallel clinic
- Pre and post-operative H&P’s and follow-up
- Call is 1/6
- Hospital rounding
- Write scripts
- Evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified. Previous orthopaedic experience is preferred, but will train a newer PA with an orthopaedic rotation. The group prefers that candidates have ties to the New England area. The PA must have excellent interpersonal skills. The location is 25 minutes to New Haven. The area offers good school systems, reasonable cost of living and is a terrific location to raise a family. Salary is open.
