Specialty Orthopaedic Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant. The new PA will work directly with a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This Doctor also has a specialty in total joints and utilized the latest minimally invasive methods including anterior approach total hips. Cases also include shoulder and knee scopes and reconstruction. This position includes both the OR and the clinic. The new PA will run their own clinic.
Specific responsibilities include: patient evaluation and education, first assist, injections, joint aspirations and facture care, casting, writing scripts, rounds and reviewing lab results in a hospital setting. Successful candidate should be board-certified, confident and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. The Doctor prefers an experienced Orthopaedic PA but would train a new graduate PA with an orthopaedic rotation and that is PANCE-Certified. The practice is located in an area that is one hour plus to Orlando.
New candidates should have a Florida license or have applied for one.
Compensation: Depends on experience. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
