Well-established Orthopedic Group seeks to add a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant. This Physician Assistant will be supporting very busy and well-respected Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeons. The doctors handle a strong volume of sports, total knee replacement, shoulder replacements, scopes (knee and shoulder) and fracture cases. The position includes both the OR and the clinic. The group has their own state-of-the-art PT Center and Diagnostic Center. They are fully EMR.
Responsibilities include: patient evaluations and education, H&P’s, removing casts and pins, consultation, ordering and reviewing lab tests, writing scripts, rounds, injections and first assist. The new Physician Assistant will have the opportunity to run a clinic. Call is very light. Successful candidate must be NCCPA-Certified and must already have a Texas license or one pending. The group prefers candidates with some orthopedic experience, but will train a new Physician Assistant that has done an orthopedic rotation. The location is in a beautiful area of San Antonio, TX. Candidates should have roots within the state.
Compensation: Base salary range is open, plus a bonus plan. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
