Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry

Adelphi is seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP) to provide services at a facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The NP will perform psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

Requirements:
• Active AZ license
• BLS
• Minimum of 2 years experience post licensure

Responsibilities:
• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and medical treatment procedures for assigned patients.
• Elicit medical history, perform physical examinations, take vital signs, and examine specified problem areas.
• Order laboratory or clinical tests to provide further information.
• Stabilize, manage medical and surgical emergencies, and administer and distribute medication to patients according to treatment plan interpretation.
• Recognize cases to be referred to a physician.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide standby duty for night and emergency calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
