PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA)

Possess a Baccalaureate degree from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP).

Possess and maintain current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Possess and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the [link removed]

Possess experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary care outpatient setting (defined as family practice, urgent care, acute care) of at least 12 months in the last 24 months.

Possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Provide two letters of recommendation written within the last two years attesting to the physician assistant’s clinical skills. At least one letter must be from a physician, psychologist, or nurse who has personally observed and evaluated the physician assistant and who can attest to the physician assistant’s clinical skills in the care of patients. The other letter may be from a clinic or hospital administrator, physician, psychologist or nurse who has personal knowledge of the physician assistant’s patient care skills in a similar clinical environment. Reference letters shall attest to the physician assistant’s communication skills and ability to relate to patients as well as professional and other interpersonal skills among staff members and must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference.

 

NURSE PRACTITIONER (NP)

Possess a Master’s, Post-Master’s or Doctorate degree from an advanced practice nursing program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Possess current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the [link removed]

Possess current certification (in the specialty corresponding to the specialty required by the task order) as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Possess experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care outpatient setting (defined as family practice, urgent care, acute care) of at least 12 months in the last 24 months.

Possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
