Mount Carmel Health System has an excellent casual/PRN opportunity for an experienced Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to join a growing Neurosurgery program. This opportunity is based at Mount Carmel East and Mount Carmel St. Ann's located in Columbus, Ohio.
The selected provider will work 12-hour shifts 6:00am - 6:00pm or 6:00pm - 6:00am.
Responsibilities for this opportunity include:
- Managing the care and treatment of patients as indicated in the professional scope of practice and within current standards and protocols.
- Developing a comprehensive plan of care with the patient/family consistent with established guidelines.
- Practicing within the guidelines of a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.
- Initiating and leading performance improvement activities with a focus on achieving top quartile on clinical indicators.
Requirements and qualifications for this opportunity include:
- Education - Masters in Science, Nursing or specialty field, graduate of an Advanced Practitioner Program, and clinical experience in Neurosurgery.
- Current license as an RN in Ohio. Certified as and Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty. Holds current Certificate of Authority (COA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- BLS provider certification and DEA license.
