CONNECTICUT: PA - Orthopedics (Sports Medicine) Will train - CT-080720 (22397179)
This position includes both the OR and the clinic. The Physician Assistant will work directly with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. This Doctor focus is shoulder and knees as well as shoulder and knee replacement. This Physician Assistant will eventually run their own clinic and see both new and follow-up patients. Good volume of sports cases! The Physician Assistant will be trained in injections and fracture management.
They are located in a modern facility and have their own PT/OT onsite.
The location is within the New London region within 20 minutes to Rhode Island. Salary range is based on experience level and includes an incentive. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
Responsibilities include: first assist, H&P’s, write scripts, coordinate with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, event coverage and discharge summaries.
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified or eligible. Preference is for an experienced orthopedic Physician Assistant, but they will train if the Physician Assistant has an orthopedic rotation, especially undergraduate in ATC, Exercise Science or Kinesiology and is from the region.
