Physician Assistant - Palliative Care Opportunity - 2434 (22521517)

St. Peter’s Health Partners has a full time employment opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join their Palliative Care team located in Capital District, New York.

Palliative Care is a service line across St. Peter’s Health Partners, supporting patients and their families who are dealing with a serious illness. The Physician Assistant can provide palliative care services in both the hospital inpatient, and community/home settings. This role will work closely with an interdisciplinary team including a physician, social worker, and spiritual care support to provide comprehensive care to patients with advancing illness primarily in the community setting. The Physician Assistant will work with consultant and practice staff to manage pain and symptoms, address goals of care and treatment plans and provide guidance and education to patients and families.

The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 

Applicants should have the following: graduation from an AMA approved program, board certification as a Physician Assistant; a minimum of two years clinical experience, preferably in Palliative Care and Home Health; NYS licensure, DEA and BLS required.

Preference will be given to those candidates who are board certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. Travel will be required. A supportive work environment and thorough orientation will be provided.
