Physician Assistant - Primary Care - Healthcare for the Homeless Opportunity - 2439 (22534026)

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group and Mercy Medical Center are seeking a per diem, experienced Primary Care Physician Assistant to join their Healthcare for the Homeless team located in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The selected candidate will be a Clinical Supervisor in this role. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established group of collaborative care clinicians in our outpatient clinics, community outreach and telehealth environments. In this per diem role, the selected candidate will practice 20 hours a week to provide primary health care to a primarily homeless population.

The selected candidate will also lead, and serve as a professional resource, to Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants and Community Health Workers and provide the advice and guidance necessary to resolve complex client problems. This includes advocating for clients within the health care system and the community to resolve barriers to care and sensitize service providers to the needs of the population.

The successful candidate will be Board Certified, have an active Massachusetts Physician Assistant license, and DEA X License, have at least one to two years of experience as a Physician Assistant and be a team player with an interest in providing compassionate, full-spectrum care for adult patients, especially those with behavioral health and substance abuse issues. Bilingual Spanish speaking candidates are also preferred. Experience in leading or supervising others preferred.
