St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Ellis Hospital Neuroscience inpatient team located in Schenectady, New York. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected Neuroscience team. New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Individuals with an interest or experience in Neuroscience is a plus. 

Ellis Neurology offers comprehensive care for neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, back pain, brain tumors, dementia and movement disorders delivered through our inpatient and outpatient programs. Ellis is a New York State designated Primary Stroke Center and is nationally recognized for outstanding stroke care. For five consecutive years, Ellis has received the Gold/Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association for the quick response and high quality of care provided to stroke patients. 

Our Advanced Practice Providers are responsible for: 

  • Admitting patients that require neurology or neurosurgery admission
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic treatment throughout the patient’s hospital course, under the supervision of the attending physician
  • Diagnostic procedures include, but are not limited to, lumbar puncture and lumbar drain insertion
  • Inpatient responsibilities and no outpatient or clinic patients
  • Overnight in-house call is required             

The ideal candidate will be patient centered, have exceptional clinical and communication skills, and possess a strong commitment to providing high quality healthcare to the communities we serve.
